CCHR Tennessee Presents Free Pop-Up Exhibit on Mental Health History in Columbia, TN This Weekend


Nashville, TN, Jul 02, 2026, ZEX PR WIRE — CCHR Tennessee has announced a free, limited-time pop-up exhibit, Mental Health Human Rights Abuse, opening July 3, 2026, at 109 W 7th St in Columbia. The exhibit invites the public to explore the history of psychiatric treatment practices and patient rights in mental health care.

A grand opening will be held Friday, July 3 at 6:00 p.m., featuring speakers and refreshments, followed by an opening night walk-through. The first 100 attendees will receive a gift.

The exhibit will remain open to the public throughout the holiday weekend:

  • Friday, July 3: 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. (Grand Opening)

  • Saturday, July 4: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

  • Sunday, July 5: 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

  • Monday, July 6: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Admission is free. Attendees under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
